Get FoodScan for Android
Download the app and install it in a few taps. Because FoodScan isn’t on the Play Store yet, Android asks you to approve the install — that’s normal and safe.

Tap “Download APK”
The file saves to your phone. Tap it when the download finishes, or open it later from your Files app.

Allow the install
Android may say “this source isn’t allowed to install apps.” Tap Settings, turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back.

Install anyway
If Play Protect warns about an unknown app, choose “Install anyway” or “Install without scanning.” This warning appears for every app installed outside the Play Store.

Open FoodScan
Launch the app and sign in with your email — your first analysis takes seconds.
Is it safe? Yes. We distribute FoodScan directly (a Play Store listing is on the way), so Android shows these warnings for any app installed outside the store. It’s the same app we use ourselves.
