An emulsifier and anti-caking agent made from magnesium combined with fatty acids derived from animal or vegetable fats. Keeps tablet-form sweeteners from clumping together and helps them hold their shape. Found almost exclusively in tablet sweeteners — not a common additive across the broader food supply. Generally considered safe at the tiny amounts used. Magnesium itself is an essential mineral, and fatty acids are normal dietary components, so there is no meaningful health concern here.
