A natural clay mineral used as a clarifying and filtering agent, primarily in winemaking. It binds proteins and other particles, helping liquids become clear and stable. It's removed from the final product before consumption, so virtually none remains in what you actually drink or eat. Considered safe by EFSA with no intake concerns.
