Ingredients

BERNARD LAGER beer features a mild, medium-bodied flavor with a light bitterness and a dry finish. A malt aroma is present with tones of coffee, licorice, chocolate, and dried plums. The first fermentation takes place in open vessels. Fermentation and maturation last for 50 days. In 1991, Stanislav Bernard purchased the bankrupt Humpolec brewery at an auction with several friends. In order to stand out from other Czech producers, the new owners decided to brew traditional unpasteurized beer from the best ingredients – this brought success not only at home but also in foreign markets. Today, Bernard beer is exported to 35 countries around the world. Beer style/type: Lager Color: Almost black Characteristics: Unpasteurized / Unfiltered Serving temperature: 8–10 °C.
