Ingredients

"Centumbrie" organic extra virgin olive oil MONOCULTIVAR FRANTOIO is a rich-flavored oil made from a single variety of olives, Frantoio, hand-picked. This is a cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and due to its unique flavor, we invite you to taste it first. Organoleptic properties. It has a pleasant aroma of freshly cut grass and nuts. The flavor is perfectly balanced, with little bitterness and pungency. Notes of unripe fruits, herbs, and almonds can be sensed. Production characteristics. Mechanical cold pressing ensures high oil quality and retention of all valuable nutrients. A new generation mill allows the production process to use as little water as possible, thus contributing to environmental protection. To preserve the oil's organoleptic properties, it is bottled while carefully monitoring the temperature. Sold in dark bottles to protect it from light. The oil is pressed as soon as the olives are collected, but no later than 24 hours. Acidity: 0.14% (max. norm 0.8%, very good oil – max. 0.3%). Polyphenol content: 561 mg/kg (it is considered that the oil has a high polyphenol content if its concentration is not less than 250 mg/kg). Peroxide: 5.5 meq/kg (max. allowable 20 meq/kg). Pressed at 20–26 °C (for the oil to be labeled as cold-pressed, the extraction temperature must not exceed 27 °C). Perfect for enhancing dishes and for cooking. Give a special fruity flavor to Italian bruschetta, salads, pasta, enhance risotto, fried fish, mushroom dishes, or even desserts, such as ice cream. The polyphenols present in olive oil are particularly beneficial for the human body. They help protect blood lipids from oxidative damage. The positive effect is noted when consuming 20g of olive oil per day.
