“Komvida” organic kombucha GINGER AND LEMON is a carbonated, fermented beverage that has a slight pungency from the ginger and sourness from the lemon. Kombucha is made by adding a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast called scoby, also known as tea fungus, to sweet tea. Fermentation lasts several days under carefully controlled temperature. Later, if desired, the kombucha is flavored with fruits, berries, vegetables, juices, or various spices to achieve a certain taste. Kombucha is always made with sugar, but almost all of it is broken down during fermentation.
