The cheese has a soft, creamy texture with a unique citrus aftertaste. This cheese pairs well with various snacks such as crackers, dried fruits, nuts, or olives, and it is delicious when eaten with honey. The cheese can also be grilled: it browns beautifully when cooked in a pan with oil or butter. It remains fluffy. It carries the DOP (Denomination of Protected Origin) label, which is given to products whose qualities and characteristics are exclusively linked to their geographical origin. All stages of production take place in a specific designated area.
