Saint Agur pasteurized cow's milk blue cheese, matured for 60 days, is produced in the Auvergne region of France. It is a moist blue cheese with a rich flavor. When cut, a greenish mold is visible. It is slightly less salty than traditional blue cheeses and has a more balanced taste. It spreads and melts easily. Perfect for making sauces and soups, delicious spread on grilled meat or fish. It can also be enjoyed on its own, on French bread, with figs and other fruits. This cheese is made in octagonal shapes for easy slicing. It has no rind and is usually sold wrapped in foil to prevent further mold formation. Contains E262 (sodium acetate) as a preservative.
