The dough, of rich yellow color, is made from fresh eggs (E322) and cream, flavored with candied Sicilian orange peels (E150a) and sultana raisins. A wonderful aromatic Italian dessert that will melt in your mouth. Perfect as a gift. The making of this soft panettone is a long and meticulous task that takes as long as 72 hours. The dough is made from natural sourdough. Before baking, the dough is allowed to rise three times, enhancing the flavor and forming the required texture. Then the cake is baked at a carefully controlled temperature, and once baked, it is immediately hung "upside down" to cool. Hanging like this while still warm stretches the cake and gives it a dome shape. Panettone (panetonė) - a traditional Italian cake baked specifically for the Christmas season.
