Dutch BEEMSTER AGED cheese is aged for at least 18 months, and due to its unique flavor, it has won several gold medals at cheese competitions worldwide. The distinctive taste and wonderfully creamy texture perfectly complement sandwiches or salads, as well as favorite stews or cheese platters. The cheese pairs well with both red and white wine. It is produced in the Beemster Polder region of the Netherlands according to an old recipe. Curd mixing is done by hand. These cheeses have holes that occur due to carbon dioxide released during production. You may also notice small crystals in the cheese that form as it ages. (No additives mentioned)
